History
Hockeychic, more commonly known as Nicotye, is a long-time hockey fan and Preds die-hard. While she’s known to watch any game if the Preds aren’t playing, she’s been a season ticket holder with the Nashville Predators for going on a decade and seemingly bleeds blue and silver ice. Born a Detroit Red Wings fan, Nicotye converted to a full-on Predators fan not long after her first game in Nashville (against the Wings, of course). “The attitude of the team was amazing and the guys were extremely friendly… they went out of their way to give the fans a good time more than any other team.”
Since 2000, Nicotye has been nothing but a Predators fan and worked hard to bring her passion for hockey to the South. She currently pushes her love of the sport via Chattanooga’s Rock105 on a mid-week Southern Hockey Report.
Best thing about being a Predators Season Ticket Holder: The games are amazing and intense. The Predators bring it all to every game and their energy is viable. They not only invigorate and energize the crowd, they provide some real heart-pounding entertainment.
Hardest thing about being a Predators STH: The drive home on weeknights. The games are all Central time, of course, so I don’t normally get home till about 1:15 a.m. Eastern. It make the following workday a little tough, but I see it as a tiny sacrifice for the love of the game and the passion for the Predators.

Weight: excuse me? That’s rude. No, it’s ok… usually right around 120.
Age: Ok, now that IS rude. Let’s just say I’m well over 30.
Sign: Taurus – and proud of it.
Favorite all-time hockey player: Peter Forsberg. Flawless. He's my favorite highlight reel and I miss his presence in the NHL. I was so proud when he was a Pred.
Favorite current player: That’s a tough one. I love all the guys on the team for different reasons. If I had to pick just one single player and label him… it would likely be Jordin Tootoo but it's a tough choice. I love his tenacity and he’s always a pleasure to watch. The reason I picked Jordin... really, I have to pick just one? Ok. His highlight reels are entertaining... always. Now if I could pick three or four, life would be easy. Toots would still be in there but I'd have to take serious consideration for super-slapshot Shea Weber, Wake Belak, and Pekka Rinne. Gotta love the goaltender for their amazing reflexes.
Favorite OTHER sport: What? There’s other sports? Kidding. I like NFL. You’ll find me cheering for the Patriots or the Colts. I’m also a NASCAR (Hamlin) and NHRA (Tony Schu!) fan.
Favorite thing to do (non-hockey related): I’m big into the outdoors. I love hiking and camping - and I mean REAL camping. No RV junk for me… give me a tent and a sleeping bag and I’m in heaven. I love the outdoors... I love wilderness. Maybe one day I'll move to northern Montana and call it "retirement".
What I look for in a guy: I know this is cliché, but personality really means a lot. I have to have someone who makes me laugh. Don’t get me wrong, a chemical/physical attraction is generally a must, but without the personality back it up, it won’t last. I can't stand egos, cheezy come-ons (you'll generally get a smart remark), or guys who assume that because I look like I do that I must be intellectually challenged.
